On July 20, 1969, the Apollo 11 with three astronauts on board – Neil Armstrong , Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin and Michael Collins – made history becoming the first humans to ever set foot on the moon.
Today, July 20th 2009, we celebrate the 40th anniversary of such colossal fact. Many journals, and newspapers around the globe are giving the front page to honor this three man who made history just 40 years ago.
The New York Times has dedicated an entire interactive site to commemorate this , with facts, interviews, downloadable information on the mission and much more.
The Washington Post, on the other hand, has gathered all kind of information – from photos thru’ real audios – to celebrate the day.
The Times, however, has simply dedicated a few articles on the matter.
