12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics Berlin 2009

There has been mostly exciting and big news during the weekend in the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics Berlin 2009.

Jamaica’s Usain Bolt set a new 100m World Record after running the Men’s 100m, during the World Athletics Championships, in just 9,58s beating his own record in over 10ms.

Shelly-Ann Fraser -also from Jamaica – won the gold medal in the women’s 100 Metres Final setting the country as favourite in the track competition.

Not so big news for Russian Yelena Isinbayeva as she failed at her three attemps to clear 15 feet 9 inches. Anna Rogowska of Poland won gold in the women’s pole vaul.
