“A Steady Rain” booms box office in Broadway

Recent-premiered play staring Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman, “A Steady Rain”, has grossed up a total of $1,167,954 to come third this week in the weekly box office report published by The Broadway League.

It is rare to see that a non-musical play breaks into the Top 10 in Broadway. “A steady Rain”  has even display “Jersey Boys” from the Top 3 and is catching up with smashing-hits plays such as Wicked and Billy Elliot.

The Top 5 comprised “Wicked” with $1,441,683, “Billy Elliot” ($1,342,233), “A Steady Rain”, “Jersey Boys” ($1,126,009) and “The Lion King” ($1,123,205).

Great Broadway hits such as West Side Story, Mamma Mia! and The Phantom of the Opera follow the above list in the top 10.

Great work for Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman! Watch out Broadway, this two guys come to crack everything up!
