The Rochester Broadway Theatre League is bringing “Wicked” to the Auditorium Theatre (875 E. Main St.) for 24 shows between April 14 and May 2. Tuesday-Thursday performances are at 7:30 p.m., with an additional 1 p.m. show on Thursday, April 15; Friday shows start at 8 p.m., Saturday shows are at 2 and 8 p.m., and Sundays are at 1 and 6:30 p.m.
“We’ll bring 60,000 people into downtown Rochester within the next three weeks to see this show,” said Don Jeffries, president and CEO of the Rochester Broadway Theatre League. “Fifty percent of the people who have purchased tickets to “Wicked” are from Monroe County, all the others are from outside the county, and five percent from outside the state. The restaurants will be busy, the hotels will be busy, and it’s a great economic boon.
