Girl of the Week: Lucy Newton


Ms. Lucy Newton has been performing since the age of 5. Her first professional appearance was at age of 10 at The Theatre Royal Brighton, In the pantomime Aladdin. In later years she joined the cast of Les miserables,Palace Theatre London,and played the role of Eponine on numerous occasions. After, she portrayed the role of Kim in the Boy George musical Taboo,Leicester square London.  Then, Ms Lucy Newton toured around the country again in Footloose the Musical, Playing the fun role of Wendy-Jo.

Lucy can now be seeing as part of the Wicked Cast in London, as and swing and U/S Glinda.

Theatre includes: ‘Kim’ in Taboo (West End); ‘Wendy-Jo’ in Footloose (UK tour); cover ‘Eponine’ in Les Misérables (West End); ‘Serena Katz’ in Fame (Dutch tour); ‘Lisa’ in Debbie Does Dallas (workshop); ‘Narrator’ in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (UK tour); ‘Soprano’ in The Westenders (tour) and ‘Cinderella’ inCinderella (Richmond).

Television includes: ‘The Unconventionals’ on The X Factor live finals 2006 and ‘The Newtones’ – semi-finalists in Britain’s Number 1 Family for GMTV. Lucy was also a main feature in TV advertisements for British Gas and Asda
