Editor in Chief

Gabriel A:  I’m nothing more than a Broadway fan -a common theatergoer. I have the dream of performing in Broadway someday but for now I simply LOVE Wicked and enjoy other plays. You can contact me at fiyero84@gmail.com

Editor for London West End

Sarah: I am Sarah and I live in England. To be more precise I live in the north of the country, 288.1 miles from London, although sometimes it seems like much further away! My obsession with Wicked began when I saw it on Broadway two years ago. I was mesmerized by the characters, the scenery, the songs, the humour and the journey that Elphaba and Glinda go through. I was also amazed by how wonderful Kerry Ellis was (the Elphaba of the time) and when I heard she had transferred back to London I had to book to see her again. And again… And again… And my love for the show just spiralled from there! As soon as I sit myself down in my comfy seat in the Apollo Victoria Theatre, the lights dim and the familiar voice comes over the tannoy telling us to turn off our mobile phones, all the worries of everyday life just evaporate. For two and a half hours it is just pure, wonderful Ozian escapism.  You can also follow her at the Twitter Account: @Wicked_ldn_news

  1. I saw Wicked back in April with Jennifer DiNoia as Elphaba. I’m seeing the show again on September 19 with all my cousins. I know Jennifer does the show quite often. I was wondering if my chances were good to catch her again ? Is there is a schedule for when she works? I realize the role is very demanding and Jennifer goes on quite a bit.

    • Strangely, you’re right. There is a lot of prejudice aansgit AI by many music lovers, so it gives Adam street cred that AI seems unable to recognize real talent. It was important, of course, that on the show he was bold, different, and took risks so that no one can (reasonably) claim that he is merely the gimmicky product of some machine. Notice Kris is now just the opening act for other, real music stars.

    • but if you think about it , if adam lambert won , he would have gone nohrewwe with his music career , do you hear anything about chris ? never ! i believe they kicked adam lambert off because they knew record companies were dying for him and if he won american idol his career would have gone no where at all !

  3. I love Donna Vivino as Elphaba, if Mandy is leaving Jan. 9 and Ms. Vivino is already in NYC. I would love to see her on Broadway. I live in Utah and I would bring my whole family to see her. It’s a win/win for the city, they make money from us theatre bums, the show will be blessed with a great Elphaba. I you get to be a fairygodmother and make my day.
    Thank you,

  5. What a lovely website! I came across when I was looking for info about Willemijn Verkaik. So glad to read she became Personality of the year 2011! I’ve been to Wicked here in Netherlands on march 31 and was/am pretty amazed by this musical! So we’re going again soon! I hope to see Willemijn this time (we had her alternate – Renée van Wegberg, who’s also great!) in the role of Elphaba! Again, great website!

  6. In my opinion, Alli Mauzey BEATS Kristen Chenoweth!!!! She i so funny and cheerful, just as glinda should be. Also, Nicole Parker is GENIUS!!! EVERYTHING WAS JUST AMAZING AND MADE ME CRY TEARS OF JOY. :’)

  7. Hey Colleen, One last word from Ryan: Honorificabilitudinitatibus !I’ve been saving that one. It’s from Shakesperare’s Love’s Labor Lost Act 5 sc 1. He made it up. It means roghuly, but sincerely: Your ability should be honored. Thanks, peace.
