Lucy Durack heading to Legally Blonde

After months -and years- of rumors Lucy Durack (@lucydurack) has finally announced she has changed her WICKED bubble for yet another pink and shinny ball gown: Lucy will be Australia’s new Elle Woods in the local production of Legally Blonde.

She will be starring alongside other former WICKED fellows, Rob Mills as Warner and David Harris as Emmett. Also staring, Erika Heynatz as Brooke and Cameron Daddo as Professor Callahan.

Legally Blonde the Musical will take you from the social whirl of California Campus life to Harvard’s Halls of Justice with Australia’s brightest new heroine (and of course, her Chihuahua, Bruiser). The verdict? This much fun shouldn’t be legal!

Legally Blonde premieres at the Sydney Lyric from October 5, 2012.

Legally Blonde – National Tour Hits the DuPont Theatre

The national tour of LEGALLY BLONDE: THE MUSICAL will open the holiday season at the DuPont Theatre on Tuesday, December 1 and will run through Sunday, December 5, 2009.

And Elle Woods does not take “no” for an answer. So when her boyfriend dumps her for someone “serious,” Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style.

Becky Gulsvig, the Elle understudy in the original Broadway cast, plays Elle Woods in the tour.
