Teal Wicks opens tonight in Wicked on Broadway


Beginning performances on today, February 1, 2011, -evening performance- Teal Wicks is assuming the role of Elphaba in the Broadway company of WICKED.

Ms. Wicks is making her Broadway debut after playing the role of Elphaba in both the San Francisco and Los Angeles productions of WICKED.  She will be replacing Mandy Gonzalez in the role.

Teal Wicks is the new Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway


Beginning performances on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, Teal Wicks will assume the role of Elphaba in the Broadway company of WICKED. Ms. Wicks is making her Broadway debut after playing the role of Elphaba in both the San Francisco and Los Angeles productions of WICKED.  She will be replacing Mandy Gonzalez in the role.

Also, Kyle Dean Massey will come back to OZ as Fiyero on Tuesday, January 25.

Ms. Wicks and Mr. Massey join a cast which includes Katie Rose Clarke as Glinda, Kathy Fitzgerald as Madame Morrible, P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard, Jenny Fellner as Nessarose, Etai BenShlomo as Boq and Tom Flynn as Dr. Dillamond.

BREAKING NEWS: According to Official Fan Page of Mandy Gonzalez on Facebook Mandy will be leaving Wicked next January 9th. Her destination is yet unknown. Here is her note to fans:

Mandy Gonzalez and Laura Woyasz on The Broadway Workshop


Mandy Gonzalezand Laura Woyasz were called in as special guest performers for the 2010 CAMP NYC finale at the new World Stages of The Broadway Workshop.

50 musical theatre-loving children from all over the United States came together for five amazing days in New York City this past August for , Manhattan’s fastest growing acting program for young artists. In addition to rehearsing for the Camp NYC finale, campers took theatrical workshops with Laura Osnes (South Pacific, Grease) LaQuet Sharnell (Memphis, Lion King), Eric Sciotto (Rock of Ages, Cry Baby), John Patrick Hayden (Tartuffe), Colin Conliffe (Addams Family), Jared Gertner (Spelling Bee), Stephanie Fittro (Legally Blonde) & Casey Leigh Thompson (Legally Blonde).
