WICKED extends season in Singapore

The producers of WICKED has decided to extend by four weeks the Singapore season. The outstanding demand for tickets

has now pushed the closing date to February 26, 2012.

Opening at the Marina Bay Sands Grand Theater on December 6, 2011, tickets sales for the smash-hit musical has been overwhelming, according to BASE Entertainment Asia.

“The demand for tickets to WICKED in Singapore has been phenomenal,” said Milan Rokic, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of BASE Entertainment Asia.


Wicked Australia closing in September

The Australian production of Wicked will have its final performance at the Burswood Theatre on September 11. More than 1.5 million Australians have seen the production since it opened in Melbourne in July 12, 2008.

This week, Wicked will break the record for the highest ticket sales of any show in Perth, having sold more than 128,000 tickets with five weeks left to run.

New tickets for the final week of performances up to and including Sunday, September 11, will go on sale today through Ticketek

As a special thank you to everyone that has supported the show throughout the Australian Tour, there will be special events happening around the Burswood Theatre before and after the performances. This is to give all the Wicked fans an opportunity to create some extra special memories to take home from the show.

Wicked will host “Our Wicked, Wicked Ways”

The National Tour production of Wicked will host, next Monday August 23, “Our Wicked, Wicked Ways,”.

This evening event -held at AXIS Nightclub- will comprise of cabaret performances, from the company’s cast and crew with the net proceeds benefitting BROADWAY CARES/EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS.

Produced by company members, the evening is an opportunity for them to step out of their Wicked roles and perform in other forms of music, dance, and comedy. Co-hosted by Columbus’ own Nina West, the evening will feature Chandra Lee Schwartz (Glinda), Richard Kline(The Wizard), Richard H. Blake (Fiyero), and Mariand Torres (Elphaba standby), as well as members of the ensemble and touring staff.

Also a silent auction of several items including Wicked memorabilia, and a live auction with opportunities to bid on backstage tours and a walk-on role in Wicked, will be held.

The musical is now playing the Ohio Theatre through August 29. Tickets to performances of Wicked are available at

Tickets to “Our Wicked, Wicked Ways” are available online at, by phone at 614-421-2233, or in person at Union Café (782 N. High St.). General admission is $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Table seating is available for $25 ($99 for a table of 4), or $30 at the door. A full bar will be available. Admission to Axis is 18 and over. Under 18 are admitted only with parent or guardian. While all are welcome, the evening is intended for mature audiences, and parental discretion is advised.

Nicolas Dromard leaves Wicked

Nicolas Dromard currently playing Fiyero in the San Francisco production of Wickes recently announced through his twitter that was cast as Bert in Mary Poppins (National Tour) and will be leaving Wicked with Kendra Kassebaum and Eden Espinosa on the 26th of June.

Nicolas will be on Broadway for a month and then on the tour of mMry Poppins for a year.

Its a sad but good news. We wish Nicolas the best on this new “stage” of his carrer.

“Wicked” transports audiences back to Oz before Dorothy –  NOLA

Additional Information: The hit Broadway musical is a prequel to “The Wizard of Oz, ” telling the tale of Glinda the Good Witch and Elphaba,  who becomes the Wicked Witch of the West. Perfomances Tues-Fri at 8,  Sat at 2 and 8,  and Sun at 2 and 7:30,  through April 11. (Thursday’s performances at 2 and 8.) Scattered singles still available,  with Tuesday-Thursday offering the best possibilities. Tickets start at $30 and are available through Ticketmaster. A day-of-performance ticket lottery will be held starting 2 1/2 hours before each show. Names will be drawn from those present for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25. Cash only.
